During the workshop, children will paint a ceramic plant pot and choose a farm animal, pig, cow, or chicken, to turn their pot into a characterful farm head. They would then plant their own soil and watercress seeds, ready to take home and look after!
The workshop would be suitable for children aged approximately 4–12 years, with parents or carers supporting younger children as needed, making it an inclusive and flexible activity for families.
Each family will also take home a short illustrated poem, tying the activity to the farm setting and encouraging children to watch, care for, and enjoy their growing watercress over the following days.
