The Butchery

Our traditional butchery specialises in home produced, fully traceable, award-winning meats. Our butchers are highly skilled and always available to help you with any particular requests you may have. Our in-store counter is fully stocked with our delicious meats on a daily basis.

Our herd is made up of pedigree South Devon and Aberdeen Angus cross breeds. We allow our meat to naturally dry age, for a minimum of 28 days, often more. On our counter expect to find a range of roasting joints, such as Rib of Beef, Sirloin, Rump, along with our home made beef burgers, made from the finest steak mince, delicious hand made kebabs and ready to cook stir fry.

Beef

The beef we sell is from our beef herd which grazes on the nutritious grassland of the Newton Park Estate, only coming into spacious, airy barns in the winter months. During this time they are fed on grass which has been harvested and made into silage for winter feed.

To meet consumer demand we may occasionally supplement our beef with other beef sourced as locally as possible from farms that share our ethos.

Lamb

Our sheep help to maintain the beautiful grass parkland here on the Newton Park Estate. As with our beef, if we don't have enough of our own we buy in from trusted, local, traditional British family farms.

Our butchers can prepare your lamb just how you want it - a leg of lamb to roast, steaks and chops to grill or BBQ, mince for a Shepherd's Pie, or our delicious handmade lamb & mint burgers.

Pork

We have a small herd of pigs, mostly Gloucester Old Spot and British Saddleback crosses. They live freely outdoors or sometimes under cover in large spacious indoor/outdoor enclosures, in family groups, free to root and play. We ensure that their food does not include Soya.

Chicken

We sell free roaming chickens that are sourced locally. Available in varying weights from around 4 - 10lbs. Chickens make a good hearty meal and are an excellent choice for the family.

Our Turkey / Goose / Duck

Free range turkeys, geese and guinea fowl are seasonal items, sourced from Woolley Park, Bradford on Avon. Free range duck, from the same source, is available all year round.

Specialities

We hand-make our sausages, burgers and faggots here on site in the butchery using our own high quality meats.  We mince our own meat so we know exactly what goes into our products.
