True to form, the shop is well stocked with a wonderful range of fresh locally grown seasonal veg, salads and soft fruits. If you're going on a picnic, then you'll need some delicious world-class artisan cheeses, British charcuterie, bread and English wine! Enjoy!

Shelf Talk!

We're bang on trend here! New in, is a tasty range of The Precious Pod's, Award-Winning organic houmous. We chose this innovative local company as we know that when they're developing new lines they take a holistic approach rather than simply focusing on the end product. All ingredients used are painstakingly sourced to ensure outstanding quality - only the finest extra virgin olive oil will do! Each batch is tasted and tested so that quality is guaranteed. We're currently stocking three flavours; classic, rose harissa and (new super food) turmeric. All products are dairy-free, wheat-free, vegetarian & vegan.

Talking of turmeric! This wonderful rich golden ancient spice is the latest super food! Not only is it the main spice in curries but (so they say), it's renowned for its healing properties. Turmeric, is in fact, the boiled skinned root of the perennial plant Curcuma longa , dried and ground.

Originated in India, now also grown in E. Asia and S. America. It is often regarded as the King of spices, and has been used in Indian and Asian cooking for centuries. It has a slightly aromatic, peppery aroma, and a musky taste. Not only does it add a wonderful aroma, depth of flavour and a rich golden colour to culinary dishes, but also it has powerful anti-inflammatory properties owing to the healing compound curcumin, a very strong antioxidant that helps aid immunity and fights degenerative diseases.

We're delighted to announce that as a member of Flowers From the Farm (SW), local florist Sarah Wilson, Compton Garden Flowers jointly scooped up a Gold at the Bath & West Show for an amazing floral exhibit.

The exhibit was designed to showcase the beauty and variety of seasonal British flowers, which clearly passed muster! Sarah is a very talented florist and we're thrilled to have her as our supplier. If you would like to learn how to transform a handful of cut flowers into a stunning display then join her at the Best of British Cut Flowers workshop on Wednesday 21st June, 10am - 3pm. £37.50.

Father's Day - Sunday 18th June

We have a wonderful range of gifts and cards to mark this special occasion. From burger presses, BBQ gloves and smoking food kits to books, mugs or woolly socks! Of course, you can always spoil your Dad and make up a fabulous hamper just for him! As always, we're here to help - just ask!

Yoga barn was successfully launched last weekend. Indeed, we were as thrilled as business owner Lucy Aston, to see children really enjoying the gentle yoga exercises and mindful crafting in the barn. This week, youngsters were treated to a well deserved mini milk drink - compliments of Ivy House Farm Dairy - thanks Geoff! There are just a few spaces left for this term, so if you would like to give it a go
