Chefs, Raquel and Ashley invite you to join them this evening for an explosion of flavours from around the world. Their tried and tested avant-garde tapas will transform your tastebuds from the original tortilla and olives of Spanish cuisine, appetising bites from sister European countries, to the delicate fragrant dishes from oriental Asia and the fiery, spicy full on flavours of South America. Expect a burst of exciting flavours, textures and aromas to tantalize your tastebuds.

Best of British Flowers Workshop

In recognition of British Flowers Week (19th - 25th June 2017) we will be hosting a wonderful floral workshop to celebrate the beauty of British cut flowers. If you love freshly cut British flowers like we do, and you would like to learn more about how to arrange, care and treat these precious little beauties, then this is the workshop for you!   Join Sarah from Compton Garden Flowers, 10am - 12 noon on Wednesday 21st June for what promises to be a blooming marvellous workshop.  Sarah will share here passion for British grown flowers and talk about the general resurgence of the British flower farmer.

On the day you will be presented with a delightful array of freshly cut flowers from her farm in near by Compton Dando, and be shown how to transform them into a stunning arrangement, all yours to take away and enjoy.

Price: £37.50  includes a welcome drink and a slice of homemade cake on arrival, tuition, flowers, equipment and a wonderful container to take home and display.

A sensational evening of food, film and fantasy!

We proudly present ‘Like Water for Chocolate’. A wonderful intoxicating film, set in a small Mexican border town in 1910.  This magical film translates the combination of mouth-watering dishes, romance and mysticism into a compelling love story – it moves along at a steady pace and doesn’t disappoint – neither will the food!

The evening will begin at 7.30pm with a welcome drink in the spacious outside courtyard, followed by a delicious Mexican supper created by our chefs specifically to work in harmony with the film.  Around 8.30pm when the sun has gone down, everyone can sit back, relax and watch this compelling movie. “kissing don’t last – cookery do” George Meredith 1828 -1909

'Drawing the Harvest'

Express yourself this autumn and join local artist, Natasha Clutterbuck at her Drawing the Harvest’ workshop.

‘Drawing the Harvest’ is an exceptional workshop.  It is not just about being taught how to draw delicious seasonal vegetables, but also about respecting food, staying connected to reality, and by working with natural raw materials, enables you to stay in touch with the earth. 

Professional artist, Natasha Clutterbuck is renowned for her expressive, charcoal vegetable drawings.  Her inspiration comes from her vegetable plot and botanic environment, enabling her to create vibrant, earthy paintings with a natural palette using locally sourced, raw materials.
