The seeds for the Parlour Cafe were sewn when we gave up milking cows in 2000. Now the original18th Century stone barn where we once milked our herd of 70 cows has been smartly transformed into a beautiful space for our cafe.
Our outdoor seating area is in the courtyard immediately outside the cafe, with magnificent views across the Newton Park Estate, it is sheltered by our large raised planters - alfresco dining at its best!
The food we serve is locally sourced whenever possible. We don't favour fast food, but prepare fresh dishes for you as quickly as we can, so at busy times there may be a wait for both food and drinks, but it will be worth it.
Bookings for tables may be made for Sunday Lunch, and are highly recommended ahead of the actual day.
Please be aware that if you ring us at weekends it is likely that we are too busy serving customers to answer the phone, but if you leave a message on the cafe phone (option 1), we will call you back as soon as we can, or at the end of the day.
Mondays through to Saturdays, we do not take bookings, but will do our best to accommodate you at busy times.
Please note that breakfast on Sundays is from 10am to 11.30, after this time we prepare for our lunch menu which is served from 12 noon.
We serve excellent coffee supplied by Easy Jose and a range of teas and soft drinks.
We are fully licensed and have delicious wines, locally produced beers and ciders to buy from the chiller.
