Newton Farm Shop - respecting local food and farming

Who we are and what we do:

We are a third generation farming family based at Newton St Loe, just 3 miles West of Bath.

We own and run Newton Farmshop and Cafe which is in the centre of the beautiful village of Newton St Loe.

We produce our own Beef, Pork and Lamb, and always source any other meats required from the local area if possible.

As well as selling our meat in our farm shop, we supply our own cafe and we deliver to families, restaurants, schools, pubs and B&Bs in and around the Bath area.

Newton Farm, celebrates its own produced top quality Great Taste Award-winning meats. 'Great Taste' is the only food worth having, says Food Critic, Charles Campion.

Other local foods that we stock are:

  • Organic Jersey Milk, Farmhouse Butter and Cream from Beckington
  • Free Range Eggs from Somerset and Wiltshire
  • Cold pressed Rapeseed oils from Wilmington, Nr Newton St Loe
  • Quinoa from Corston, Bath
  • Vegetables from Batheaston
  • Preserves and Chutneys from Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and Somerset
  • Somerset Apple Juice
  • Locally produced World Class Artisan Cheeses, including award winning Westcombe, Homewood, and Bath Blue
  • Lovett Pies
  • Frozen ready meals cooked using our meats by Cavendish Cooks of Bath.
  • Bertinet Breads and Croissants baked just in Bath
  • Beers brewed in Bath and Bristol
  • Cider made in Somerset
  • Wines made in Devon and Cornwall

We aim to support local businesses, producers and suppliers, helping to keep the pound circulating locally!

We have our own beef herd roaming the green fields of our Duchy of Cornwall farm in the picturesque village of Newton St Loe, Bath. When you visit our shop you can enjoy some of this amazing scenery yourself by walking around the village, or using some of the network of footpaths around Newton St Loe.   Click here to download map.

Our farm shop has been furnished with re-cycled materials wherever possible, including our vegetable rack which has been made out of the steps that used to be in our Maze maize, and old disused and preloved cupboards that we have found in our sheds having been stored for a long time. Everyone agrees that it is not only beautiful, but also doing its bit to be sustainable.

Come and see for yourself!
